“VERY affordable, but surprisingly you aren't trading it for bad staff or instability. The only time I had a problem, they had it fixed within the hour at no charge ((unlike some other sites that took days to fix similar problems.))”

They have a Discord server rather than an email ticketing system where they respond within minutes. In my opinion having an active chat with multiple support members over Discord is a LIFE changer and every host should have one. Performance has been great, even though we run around 200 mods and have a player count that goes into the 20s.”
— Thomas B · verified review“UltraServers offers excellent price-to-performance, which is the main reason we still use them. Unfortunately, the service is severely lacking in other areas.Automatic system backups on many nodes were deleted for maintenance and then disabled for an unspecified period. Manual backup creation also appears to be broken, leaving customers with no practical way to create new backups through the panel or download existing backups externally.I opened a support ticket and was told the team was aware of the problem. The ticket was then closed without a workaround or estimated resolution date, and no meaningful follow-up even after 10 days later.Support on Discord later suggested manually archiving and transferring the entire server through SFTP, or moving the data to another VPS. For servers containing hundreds of gigabytes, this is not a reasonable replacement for a functioning backup system. It requires technical knowledge, substantial transfer time, additional storage, and potentially extra cost.Customers are told they are responsible for maintaining independent backups, yet UltraServers currently provides no convenient way to export backups outside its own infrastructure. That is a major contradiction. The performance and pricing are excellent, but the backup issue shows poor operational planning and weak incident communication. Deleting automatic backups, disabling their replacement indefinitely, and apparently losing manual backup functionality creates exactly the unmanaged risk that a hosting provider's backup feature is supposed to reduce.Cheap servers are not enough when essential features can disappear indefinitely without a proper contingency plan.”
